This medicine is also used to treat a skin infection called tinea versicolor. It is an antibiotic and works to treat the infection by killing the bacteria. Zithromax can be taken with or without food. It should be taken as advised by your doctor. You should not stop taking this medicine without talking to your doctor.
Zithromax is available in various forms such as tablets, suspension, and even liquid medicine. It is also available in some medicines to treat a fungal infection called ringworm. It is important to take Zithromax as directed by your doctor. Do not take more medicine than directed by your doctor has been provided. If you are not sure what to do ask your doctor or pharmacist. Zithromax is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. Zithromax should not be given to children under 12 years of age. Zithromax can harm an unborn baby.
